Nancy Salmon

Nancy Salmon has danced all her life. She offers workshops that combine technical dance skills with creative movement and problem-solving, tapping into an individual's own abilities to create. She has studied many dance forms and works in modern/contemporary/creative movement. Workshops, whether with children or adults, offer opportunities for physical skill development (strength, alignment, safe use of body, flexibility) and for discovering and developing personal dance voice and movement style. Nancy creates dances for concert stage, and for high school, professional and community theater companies. Nancy has performed with modern dance companies in NYC, Texas, Missouri, North Carolina, Maine and on tour in France, and has produced or co-produced numerous professional concerts. She is an author of the Maine Dance Curriculum Framework. She works equally well with dancers and non-dancers, and people with and without disabilities.
