Marcy Schepker
Marcy Schepker's art is building bridges between people. She is a tapestry weaver, soft toy maker and community person with 30 years of experience as a weaver and teacher. She is a member of the League of NH Craftsmen and has represented NH in Belgium twice at the International Very Special Arts Festival. Marcy's work is sold across the country in museum shops, fairs, stores, through catalogues and individual commissions. Her studio has been written up in the Boston Globe and in Fiber Arts Magazine. Marcy and Cathy Jenness, a graduate of the special education class at the Austine School for the Deaf and Marcy's apprentice for ten years, do most their workshops as a team. A typical workshop involves carding, rolling and weaving wool into a large tapestry created by a group working together.
