Adaptive Equipment and Alternative Strategies

Workshops are designed to focus on two specific access components: Adaptive Arts Tools and Materials and Adaptive Strategies for Alternative Learners in the classroom and in the community. The first access component will show participants how traditional art supplies can be easily and inexpensively adapted for various levels of manual dexterity. The second component will address alternative learning styles, multiple intelligences, adaptive strategies and methods for enhancing projects for individuals who are differently-abled. Specific focus will be given to how to adapt curriculum creatively while building upon student strengths.
